San Marino Sees 1963 Q4 Sales Tax of $25 618
San Marino will receive 25618 as its share of local sales and use tax for the fourth quarter of 1963 announced by Richard Ne vins of the State Board of Equalization. The amount is 1.5 percent below the 26007 that city collected in the same period in 1962. Nearby communities posted increases with Pasadena up 2.7 percent, South Pasadena up 8 percent, San Gabriel up 173 percent, and Arcadia up 5.8 percent.

Rain Storm Brings Two Day Totals to 2.50 Inches
A Monday night and Tuesday morning rain storm produced 1.75 inches south of Huntington drive and 1.85 inches north of it. The two day total reaches 2.50 inches with additional showers Tuesday night and Wednesday morning adding another .75 inches. The year to date rainfall measures 1964 at the north side.

Kickoff Dinner Launches Drive For New YMCA

Funeral services are set for Mrs J Lee Shepard 88 born Napa and longtime San Gabriel Valley resident. Walter B. Eshleman reported the loss of $191 from his Lorain Road home. Police say a burglar entered by unhooking a screen and pushing open a bedroom window. Money was taken from a wallet. the scene shows neat entry with scuff marks outside.

County Releases Registration Figures For This Vicinity
County figures show 1,405,825 Democrats and 996,249 Republicans across the county with a total 2,477,223 voters as of December 31 1964. The San Marino Police Department launched phase one of its Identification Operation by etching license numbers on bicycles to curb theft.
