San Marino Scout Master Ben Reiling Wins Champions of Scouting
Ben Reiling of San Marino Troop 358 received the Los Angeles Area Council Champions of Scouting award for 2003 at the Jonathan Club banquet. The event raised over $150,000 for Inner-City Scouting and Learning for Life programs. Reiling, active in Troop 358 for six years where his son Mike earned Eagle, is president of Zelman Development Co. and a licensed general contractor.

Troop 358 had a busy fall with camp outs and tours from mountain biking to auto racing to shotgun skeet shooting to museum visits. San Marino City Council weighs undergrounding utilities in Del Mar Ave using 1.192 million dollars in Rule 2A funding. If approved at the February 2004 meeting, completion is set for September 2005.
