Final Drive For Theater Membership In San Marino
The San Marino Players launch a final drive for memberships as they prepare the 1935 season. The first production, Peter the Great, runs January 28 to February 10 with two patron nights. A $10 membership grants two tickets to opening night and all eight future productions. Tickets are 5 cents each.

Reconstruction Underway at Huntingen School Auditorium Project

First Court of Honor Set for January 30 in San Marino
San Marino to hold its first Scout Court of Honor on Wednesday January 30 at 8 pm in the Huntington School Cafeteria. The San Marino Community Scouting Committee now oversees the event with awards for second and first class pins merit badges star life and Eagle plus a special community award. Stanley Arndt will preside with Joseph Howe Palmer Conner Hugh Gordon Jack Alpine Philip Gresham and J W Yankie presenting awards. Each of the three San Marino troops will participate and details will appear in the next San Marino Tribune.

Building for January For The District Grows
In January 1935 the San Marino school district shows progress with $46 000 granted in the first two weeks. A permit for a $34 000 auditorium building with 10 rooms and one story is approved. A separate $5 500 house permit at 1620 Las Flores is issued to Helen Garrough of Los Angeles, contractor Eric Barclay of 709 Architects building in Los Angeles.

Metropolitan Water Project Inspected By City Officials

Strengthening of St. Pasadena High School Auditorium

Girl Scout Troop 14 members made spatterprints for their nature books at the last meeting. Ruth Teeple earned an observer's badge and 12 girls were named ready to receive their scholarship badge. Daylight burglary at local book and art shop
A daylight burglary occurred at 4 30 PM Tuesday at Sally Bohannon’s book and art shop on Huntington Drive. About $38 in cash and $12 in checks were stolen after a customer, described as a 20 year old with black hair in a brown suit and hat, left the store with the lamp being wrapped. Police searched the area but the suspect fled prior to capture.
