The San Marino Public Library marked its third anniversary since January 16, 1933. It now holds 7896 books, with 1219 at opening, 4344 in January 1934, and 6261 in January 1935. The library operates daily 9 to 9 except Sundays, with staff Louise White Emily Daubney and Marian Williams, and 2532 registered borrowers. During the first half of this fiscal year 36 068 books have circulated.

San Marino Residents Injured in Head-On Crash
Miss Ella J. Abeel, 78, and her brother in law John D. Atchison of Homet road were critically injured when a drunk driver on the wrong side of the road struck their car near Corona del Mar. Harold Ahern of Universal City fled the scene as his car burned after the impact. Abeel has multiple injuries including seven broken ribs and a broken hip, while Atchison suffered loss of sight in one eye and severe limb injuries. Mrs. G O Stocking of Alhambra will teach C Melody Marine harmonicas for 10 cents. students supply their own harmonicas at 50 cents.
