San Marino Fire Losses Shown Low for City Size
City Council reports indicate San Marino had a fire loss per capita of two cents in 1932, the lowest for the city and likely a state record for towns of similar size. Total fire losses were 85 dollars, down from 525 the prior year, despite more alarms and prompt department response. Building permits issued in 1932 reached 522 602 dollars in value, a record for the city. past valuations traced back to 1925 were noted.

Brother Shot by 11 Year Old While Playing With Rifle
On Thursday morning Eugene Simon 11 son of Morris and Morris P Simon 1521 Virginia Road shot his 7 year old brother John in the leg with a .22 rifle. John was taken to Alhambra Emergency Hospital for first aid.

A San Marino jury found Mrs. Jassette Carlsen of Monrovia guilty of reckless driving while under the influence after a December 28 collision on Huntington Drive near La Mirada Avenue involving Leo J. Smith of Los Angeles. Sentence was deferred pending appeal.

State Realty Meet Attracts San Marino Crowd
Mr. Carl A. Peterson, realtor, went to Fresno for installation ceremonies of the California State Real Estate Association where Hayden F. Jones of Fresno was named president.
