The Olympia Youth Orchestra presents a Sunday January 16, 2005 concert at 3 p.m. in the San Gabriel Civic Auditorium funded by the Hennings Fischer Foundation. Parrot Reunion Highlights San Marino Community Efforts
An African grey parrot missing since December 19 was returned to Collette and Cicely Chen after an eight day search aided by San Marino Fire Department and Pasadena Humane Society. Posters and flyers across the area led to a reunion, with the bird found in a neighbor’s tree before flying off again. The San Marino Partnership for Awareness will host psychologist Charlie Weinstein on February 7 2005 at the district office, with admission 10 for members and 15 for non members. Holiday giving drives by local scouts for homeless families
Junior Girl Scouts of Troop 441 hosted Troop 355 patrols for a second annual Holiday party at Hill Harbison House. They collected over 100 toys for homeless children at Union Station Family Center and assembled over 30 care packages for parents of children staying with relatives or in shelters.

Cadet Bill Gustafson, a 1944 All-State halfback from West Aurora, attended Northwestern, then joined West Point in July 1945.
