Pioneer City developer Alfred G Walker dies in Pasadena
Alfred G Walker former president of the Huntington Land and Improvement Company died Monday at Huntington Memorial Hospital Pasadena after a brief illness. He helped plan Huntington Alhambra San Gabriel and Redondo Beach and served as director of several regional concerns. Funeral services were held in Alhambra. He is survived by his wife Phyllis and son Wendell Walker.

Final Rites Planned For Early Developer
Funeral services for John MacMillan of Rubio Drive are set for Thursday at the Garden Chapel of Pierce Brothers in South Pasadena. MacMillan, a civil engineer and longtime California Bank employee, died Sunday in Long Beach Veterans Hospital and held roles with the U S Army Engineers and the city of South Pasadena. He was Throop College and California Institute of Technology educated, a Spanish American War and World War I veteran, survived by wife Martha, son John of Newport Beach, and three grandchildren.
