Glovers Attend Funeral of C C Young in Berkeley
Mr and Mrs T O Glover of 1778 Oak Grove Avenue left the city on Christmas night for Berkeley on urgent family business after the death of Clement Calhoun Young aged 78, former Governor of California. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a m in Berkeley. He is survived by his widow Lyla Vincent Young and another daughter Mrs R W West of Orinda.

San Marino post office released figures showing 1947 as the busiest year with gross receipts of 89 607.58 up 15 percent from 1946. December income rose 9 percent to 18 880.17 while three new carriers and one clerk were added to handle higher mail volume.
