State Senate Fellowships Open for 1994 Applicants

Applications are now available for paid full time fellowships with the California State Senate. The 11 month program, run by CSUS, places graduates in Capitol offices or policy committees to learn the legislative process. Seventeen fellowships are awarded in May with a February 15 deadline.

San Marino Schools Foundation Reaches for New Gift Goal

The San Marino Schools Foundation has raised $4,285,000 for the San Marino Unified School District over 14 years and aims to reach a $750,000 goal for the 1993-94 year. The foundation funds facilities and programs beyond the district budget, with $500,000 expected from annual campaigns and major gifts used for Neher Auditorium, computer centers, and drama and dance programs.

Residential Burglary and Attempted Break-In Reported

One residential burglary and an attempted burglary occurred last week. On December 20 between 9 20 p m and 10 15 p m a home in the 1800 block of McFarlane Street was burglarized while residents were away. The homeowner found the front door open and items missing after returning.
