A San Marino community on Homet Road forms the Homet Road Neighbors group to enter a Rose Parade float. Led by H. Jefferson Harris, volunteers raise 108 for materials and expect to win Class L prize with a Balloon Ascension float eight feet tall. Dr. Robert Mann Jr will drive the float in Pasadena.

Local Children Perform In Messiah At Pasadena Civic
The Hunt School Choir directed by Kenneth te performed Handel's Messiah at Pasadena Civic Auditorium on December 19 before about 23 000 people. The 87 member group from San Marino sang the angels portion and joined the Pasadena Civic Chorus and Orchestra with boys in the balcony for their part. Dr Richard Lert conducted and had auditioned the group at Henry E Huntington School weeks earlier.

Purse Snatcher Apprehended After Streetcar Stop
Sophie Miller of South Pasadena was robbed at El Molino station as a man in a brown coat approached for the time. Pasadena police captured two suspects Alden Bernal and Clyde Carlisle both teens from Los Angeles, who admitted the theft and are held in juvenile court custody.

Sunday Streetcar Collisions Cause Material Damage
Howard I. Lorenz and cab driver Jack Jennings were involved in separate Pacific Electric streetcar incidents on Granada and Huntington drives. Lorenz, en route west on Granada, turned across tracks and collided with a PE streetcar. no injuries reported though his car suffered front-end damage. Jennings, in an Arrow cab, was struck on Granada when a streetcar approached. he sustained a nose cut and declined medical care.
