The convoy of ten large buses and twenty-nine cars, aided by a state motor patrol escort, heads to Devil's Honeycomb near Calico mountains for a trip expected to end December 29. Car Crash Injures Woman Passenger During Holiday Week
A noon Tuesday crash at the corner of Duarte and Rose avenues left Mrs. Wildman Murphy of 2889 San Pasqual Pasadena with a skull fracture and serious cuts. Red Cross first aid man Robert S. Dervine aided at the scene before she was taken to the Alhambra Health Center. The Murphy car collided with another vehicle carrying Iva Dell Murphy of Pasadena and Rev and Mrs Murphy plus Frank Hayashide of South Pasadena.

A burglar entered the home of A. R. McComb at 1913 Los Robles Avenue on December 23 between 8 10 and 9 37 pm via a second floor window using a neighbor’s ladder. He stole Christmas gifts and many personal items including two evening gowns a silver fox fur an evening bag a pink slip a bedspread binoculars oriental rugs a house coat a radio and several coats. Loss is estimated at 500 and no arrest or recoveries reported as of press time.

County Board of Supervisors will seek state validation for 1933 34 county and school district taxes to avoid wide refund suits. San Marino Police Aid in Cab Bandits Capture
San Marino police helped trap two taxi bandits after they robbed cab driver Donald Foltz and left him gagged and bound on the Emery estate. The suspects Paul Lee Holt and Manuel Govia were found with the stolen car loot and a shotgun aboard the cab as officers pursued them toward Pasadena. The bandits, believed to be the same pair active in Los Angeles for two weeks, were arrested after a chase involving Colorado street bridge and Orange Grove intersections.
