Alberto R. Pearson of Lombardy Road was installed yesterday as second vice president of the Los Angeles Kiwanis Club at a ceremony in the Biltmore hotel. Pearson heads the A R Pearson Truck company and has long linked with Kiwanis since UCLA graduation, including wartime service as a major in the Air Corps.
Robert O Schad longtime Huntington Library curator and secretary to the board died at his Pasadena home on Christmas Day. He joined Huntington in 1917 and served 44 years among rare books and exhibitions, with a long record in San Marino and Pasadena. He leaves a widow and three children. contributions to Friends of the Huntington Library are requested in lieu of flowers.
The San Marino Planning Commission opens 1962 with a request to split 1350 Garfield Avenue for Arcadian Investment Co and Amalia Marconi.
