San Marino begins its annual anti litter enforcement today with extra police patrolling Huntington Drive during the Santa Anita racing season. Violators may face up to 500 dollars or six months in jail for littering. fines average 50 dollars. Garden Club members urge a clean drive as traffic increases.

Kellogg was a University of Nebraska graduate and member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Lincoln.
Three minute blasts at 10 a.m. Friday will mark the monthly Civil Defense siren test in the city and across the country. The test, conducted on the last Friday of each month, involves all five local sirens.

A Vista California resident 12 years he is survived by three sons F A of this city J Albert and J R of Altadena and three daughters Mrs Mary Walker of Corwall Conn Mrs Katherine Barnes of Barstow and Mrs Margaret Pressey of Vista.
Two Columbus men aged 22 and 19 were arrested in the Mission district after a silent alarm signaled prowlers tampering with a business window. In San Marino they were found to have used a stolen card to gas up, buy tires, and obtain $41.23 in services, with an invalid license shown.
City officials say the long awaited crosswalk at the Huntington drive San Marino avenue intersection is near. Equipment to install the north south crosswalk has been ordered and a pedestrian walk and wait sign are needed.
