A R Bathrick secures a 12 room two story tile roof build at 1592 Virginia Road with Bathrick Bros as contractors for 18000.

Mrs Arthur K Bourne of 2035 Lombardy road San Marino was thrown from a horse at the Flint ridge Riding Club on Tuesday morning, injuring her shoulder and hip. An ambulance was sent and she was carried to her home where her physician treated her. She is resting easily but will likely remain at home for some time.

Pasadena Golf Tourney A Big Success At Brookside Park

The Brookside Park event staged over several days drew praise from the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Pasadena. Harry Cooper, formerly of Los Angeles and Chicago, led with 281 over three rounds. Santa Claus Delivers 14 Fosterings In Los Angeles Court

Judge Robert W. Scott dressed as Santa Claus presided at the Juvenile Court of Los Angeles as 14 roly poly youngsters were assigned to 14 families via the Children's Home Finding Society of California. The process began with the society and continued through its San Marino secretary George A. Hooper, who presented the adoptions.

Library Plans For Olympics Visitors At Huntington

Valentine Returns from Fishing Expedition

Councilman W L Valentine returned to Los Angeles and San Marino after a fishing trip with Colonel Copley in Southern waters. He reports a delightful voyage with large catches including ten sword fish up to 190 pounds and a ton of tuna, mostly distributed to coastal natives, and expresses strong pride in San Marino and its welfare.

Judge Walton J Wood Leads Tennis Challenge Victory Mixed

Superior Court Judge Walton J Wood of San Marino joined Pasadena Police Court Judge Kenneth C Newell in a charity tennis match against Los Angeles Municipal Judges Call and Curtis. Wood’s team lost three games to two, with a ribald report noting an ambulance was on standby though unused. Later Wood and Herbert Hahn defeated clerks Joe Ciano and Joe Sanders.
