White horses to pull San Marino Rose Parade float
The San Marino Rose parade entry Silver 25th anniversary float will be drawn by four white horses. Riders announced include Dickie Sullivan grandson of Mayor L H Lacy and Miss Betty Houghton with Miss Helen Ivey and L Otis Ivey. All riders wear white, side saddle for the women, and the horses are silver bridled.

Man From Monrovia Found Guilty In Traffic Case
Genn C Hall faced two charges for traffic offenses at Huntington West drive and Virginia road intersection. Witnesses said he drove on the wrong side, passed a pedestrian stop sign, and reached 40 mph in a 15 mph zone. He claimed a sign and terrain hid the limits. Judge Mackel withheld verdict on one count, later finding him guilty of speeding.

Two Minor Crashes Reported In City Over Weekend
Over the weekend two minor crashes caused no serious injuries. On Sunday near midnight on Huntington drive and Winston avenue a collision involved Jack LeRoy Hill 24 Downey and Bertha Edna McElwein 700 Thalia Laguna Beach. Hill and passenger Helen Marie Baker were sober per doctor tests though cited for reckless driving. On Friday afternoon a left turn crash at California street and Berkeley avenue involved Elizabeth A Hewitt 544 South Berkeley and Paul M Hammond 19 Los Angeles. Hewitt’s daughter Mel 9 suffered shock and bruises but was cared for at home.

Barbara Nied Hurt In Auto Wreck Tuesday
Barbara Nied a 15 year old South Pasadena high school student lived at 2480 Cumberland road was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a collision on Fair Oaks avenue near Columbia Street. She suffered concussion a cut under the eye and shock but was reported holding her own later by Dr E W Jones. Fellow passengers Bud Bloomquist 18 and Barbara Templeton 16 were involved with Nied in a collision after another car pulled out to pass an oil truck Bloomquist was uninjured Templeton suffered arm and facial injuries.
