San Marino approves two year police contract after talks
After six months of negotiations, the City of San Marino and the San Marino Police Officers Association reached a two year salary and benefits package. The final accord includes a $500 lump sum, 4 percent raise in 1989, a 6 percent raise in January 1990, a new long term disability benefit, and a $25 increase in city medical insurance contributions to 300. The council voted 3-2 to proceed with one more negotiation session leading to approval, while Prop EE revenues constrain funding and reserve requirements remain.
