The San Marino Titans defeated Paso Robles Bearcats 14 0 to win the Northern Group CIF title before 800 to 1100 spectators. Key plays included a 49 yard pass from Tom Cottle to Skip Face and a 55 yard touchdown by Dick Chalk. Face added the extra point to reach 192 for the season as the Titans defense stifled the Bearcats.

A one eyed Indian burglar known as Chief Blevins helped recover loot from San Marino homes after being arrested by Officer George Coyle. Investigators linked a Los Angeles fence, David Centman of the Big Dime Cafe, to the stolen valuables worth over 5000 dollars including 130 rings watches and guns. Perry Hagerman Taken By Death
Funeral services for Perry S Hagerman of Lorain road were held at the Little Stone Church of Turner Stevens and Turner Alhambra with Rev Frederick W Cropp officiating. Interment followed at San Gabriel Cemetery. Hagerman died December 16 at his home after a career as assistant division engineer Street and Parkway Division City of Los Angeles. He was born in Mansfield Ohio and had lived in San Marino 18 years and in California 34 years. He was an Ohio State University and Case School of Applied Science alumnus and held several professional and civic affiliations. He leaves his wife Mabel D two daughters Enid Ann and Mrs Harry Shepherd a son in law and several relatives.
