Elmer J Erickson longtime South Pasadena High School principal since 1940 will retire at year end from public school administration He joined the faculty as history and economics teacher in 1930 headed the social studies department became vice principal in 1934 and principal in 1940 He taught at Claremont Grad uate School and Long Beach State College and is a member of Oneonta Mens Club South Pasadena American Legion and Kiwanis Club.
San Marino High School Varsity lost to the San Marino Alumni 51 50 after a late free throw by Rowe Sanderson with four seconds left. Pat Tuohy fouled Sanderson who split the pair then Riggs missed a 30 foot shot as time expired.
