Two proposed lot splits in San Marino will go before the Planning Commission on January 2. One at 1414 Wilson Avenue seeks three parcels totaling about 13190 and 13174 square feet. The second at 980 Orlando Place would create parcels of 22837 23080 and 68828 square feet. Lots are valued 20000 to 50000 dollars. Huntington Library seeks a second story for book storage. A 1.5 million subdivision is planned for the Van Nuys and Matson estates in northwest San Marino.

Christmas Eve and Day Services Planned by San Marino Churches

San Marino churches announce Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services to accommodate many parishioners. Community Church schedules 8 and 11 am services with candlelight offerings by the Chancel Choir. St Edmund’s Episcopal features carol prelude at 10:30 pm and 11 pm Communion with multiple soloists. Burglar Steals Gifts From Local Home in San Marino

San Marino police report a burglar took 10 wrapped Christmas packages and 18 silver dollars from the home of Mrs. Aileen Kallman at 1449 Hampton Road. Packages were taken from a hall closet and the silver dollars from a dressing room. furs, jewelry, and clothing were left untouched.
