Stanley Barnes Named Superior Court Judge
Stanley N. Barnes of 1780 Rambo road was named by Governor Earl Warren to a Superior Court seat, succeeding Judge Goodwin Knight when he becomes Lieutenant Governor in January. The appointment runs January 6 to the next election, subject to State Bar Association approval. Barnes is LA Bar Association trustee and partner in Chase Barnes and Chase.

William Dale Fisher Receives Foreign Post at The Hague
William Dale Fisher, son of Mr and Mrs William F Fisher of 2630 Lorain Road, has been named third secretary and vice consul at The Hague. This marks his first diplomatic posting among 23 new foreign service officers. He sails December 4 with wife and 21 month old daughter for a two year assignment aboard the Westerdam. Fisher, formerly of Oak Park NL, a Yale graduate of 1941, served as a navy lieutenant in World War II, including service on the cruiser Helena when it was sunk in 1943. He attended a postwar communications school and then took the exam for his current post. A family reunion in Chicago occurred in November.
