Dog Park Proposal Fails as San Marino Council Denies Project
Derek Barker a sixteen year old San Marino High School sophomore proposed a one acre dog park near Lacy Park as his Eagle Scout project. The San Marino City Council voted 3-1 against the plan, citing conservatism and precedent on new ventures. Barker and supporters spoke at the Barth Community Room while residents debated the idea.

San Marino Council Defends Tree Trimming Policy
The San Marino City Council defended trimming 8600 plus trees in parks and parkways amid resident concerns after two more old oaks fell.
