Newsmakers Slack Named VP Technology at Atlantic Richfield

Slack is senior vice president of technology for Atlantic Richfield Company and a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. He received the Virgil Kauffman Gold Medal in 1968 and holds degrees from Queen's University and the University of Toronto. He lives on Chariton Road.

Gadbois Named Sales Manager at Pasadena Computer City

Greg Gadbois is appointed sales manager for the new Pasadena Computer City outlet. He will oversee eight sales consultants a hardware technician and a software support specialist. He joined Computer City in July 1981 as a sales consultant after leaving Basic Decision Inc the computer sales and service division of Basic Four Computers. A Pasadena City College graduate he studied business marketing at San Diego State University. Gadbois is a one year resident of San Marino.

Robbery at Barclays Bank Branch in San Marino

An armed robber burglarized the San Marino Barclays Bank branch on Huntington Drive, taking over $44,000 in cash after forcing employees and customers to the floor. The suspect, described as familiar with banking procedures, fled east along Huntington Drive, leaving a vault door unlocked and several occupants inside. Police and the FBI are investigating, with additional burglaries and a vehicle crashAlso noted were separate burglaries in Twin Palms Drive and Huntington Drive areas and a 16 year old driver incident on Santa Anita Avenue.
