Weber elected president of PACCD board
San Marino resident Warren Weber was unanimously elected president of the Pasadena Area Community College District board for the coming year. Two San Marino Students Win Art Contest
San Marino High School juniors Mutsumi Tokamasu and Sand Simpkins won prizes in Las Encinas Hospital’s Second Annual Calendar Art Contest. Over 800 entries from San Gabriel Valley students, grades six through 12, were submitted. Tokamasu’s watercolor dreamscape for June and Simpkins’ humorous watercolor for October were among the 12 calendar month winners. Grand prize included a $500 credit toward a family getaway. winners were unveiled at a December 4 awards event on the hospital campus.
