San Marino police and fire departments join with Los Angeles County Peace Officers Association and other agencies to run a regional holiday safety campaign. Officials cite high seasonal accidents and fires from Christmas trees and traffic hazards. A nine point citizen action plan is proposed to reduce mishaps.
The San Marino School liaison told the Board of Education that local student participation at Pasadena City College is positive. John Young, a district employee serving Arcadia Canada South Pasadena San Marino and Temple City, outlined expanded programs for high school students including occupational training and college classes offered to youths.
