The San Marino school board approved sprinklers for the new Huntington soccer field and for Stoneman dust control on the playground. Glare From Sun Triggers Pasadena Crash Near Chaucer
Walter B. Lambert of 302 Bonita Avenue Pasadena was blinded by sun glare while driving south on San Marino Avenue near Chaucer Avenue and struck a car owned by N. R. Lee of 320 West Alhambra Road. Lambert received treatment at Pasadena Emergency Hospital for an injured lung and rib fracture. both vehicles suffered damage.

A distress call at 1 15 a m led Officers Bahn and Frank to 2170 El Molino where a possum fled under a house. The Mead dog chased the animal out and the officer shot it with a .22 pistol, killing it on the scene.
