T A Plans Fine Program At Stoneman
An outstanding Christmas program for the Stoneman Parent-Teacher Association will start at 2 pm Tuesday December 13 in the Stoneman school. Mothers welcomed by chairmen E G Ragatz and Mc Clarty Harbison, with a membership drive reaching 175 percent. Children from 3B and 4A 4B will sing carols and an inspirational talk on Christmas traditions will follow. A musical interlude by a trio of mothers and a tea hour chaired by C M Vessey with room mothers completes the program.

15 Year Old Thief Flees In Stolen Plymouth Sedan
A 15-year-old youth stole a Plymouth sedan from 822 North Figueroa Street and drove to San Marino. He led motor officers on a high speed chase at 65 mph along Granada, avoiding boulevard stops, before being stopped at Stoneman and Main. Police recovered the car at Highland Park station and turned the keys to Justice Hall authorities. The arrest occurred at 12 20 p m within the hour.

Four Injured In San Marino Car Crashes
Two traffic collisions near Granada and Wilson in San Marino left four people injured. Richard Barr Mortimer and three passengers in his car were hurt. R R Nichols sustained internal injuries. A separate crash at Huntington and Rubio injured Henry LeRoy Zimmerman with facial cuts.

Huge Throng at Special Midget Race Draws Crowds
A crowded track hosted a Sunday midget car event with over 1000 parked cars. Nine entries raced in two panning segments starting at 2 pm, then six main events culminated in the Helmet race won by Ace Weber who kept the helmet for next week aided by a new motor. Mobil Larson won the first race and Connie De Red also figured in results.

The Huntington School glee club, directed by Kenneth White, sang Gloria in Excelsis Deo and a Christmas Carol at the PTA meeting. A twelve boy blackface group sang Shortenin Bread with enthusiasm. In-Gathering Drives San Marino Help for Needy Families
Huntington and Stoneman parent teacher associations urge San Marino residents to donate toys canned goods dry groceries and clothing in the final drive of the year. Welfare chairmen Mrs. Greene and Mrs. Cogge thank donors after an earlier collection distributed 1100 cans and 100 dry packages along with warm clothing to San Gabriel Garvey districts. Contributions are accepted at both schools all next week with guidance for those without children to have a neighbor deliver donations.

Jewelry and clothing valued at 420 dollars were stolen from the home of Mr and Mrs Walter H Brown at 715 Plymouth road while the San Marinans attended the USC Notre Dame game at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Entry was gained by forcing the kitchen screen and patio door while the house was ransacked. Items missing include a platinum wrist watch set with diamonds two suits two dozen handkerchiefs new shoes rings garnet and pearl bar pin piano scarf lingerie silk stockings and two dollars in three cent stamps.
