San Marino's American Legion Mounted Patrol held its second annual horse show and exhibition before 500 people at Griffith Park Riding Academy. The volunteers in new uniforms displayed disciplined horsemanship praised by army officers. Actress Pauline Starke presented awards as Col. Nicholson Maj. de Robles and J. Allen Russell Jr judged the event with spectators and horse owners joining in the three gaited class.

Dastardly Crime Foiled by Young Lady
Miss Dorothy Henger stepped from a street car at Lopez station Monterey road and was accosted by W. A. Fulton driving a Ford coupe. He ordered her into the car with a gun but she escaped by wresting the wheel and leaping out near St. Albans road. She reported the incident to police. San Marino and other departments were alerted as officers pursued the suspect and vehicle.

Boy of the Meadow Wins Great Favor
The December meeting of the Henry E Huntington Parent-Teacher Association featured the Drama Section presenting the play The Boy on the Meadow.
