The San Marino High Titans will host Pomona Catholic Friday at Mt. SAC Stadium for the CIF title game after routing San Jacinto 40 7 to reach the final. Titans boast an 8 1 1 season mark and seek a second CIF crown in three years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eglantine Roberts Gordon widow of Dr. Frank H. Gordon will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Our Saviour in San Gabriel. She lived on Martha Circle and moved to Los Angeles in 1905. A longtime musical organizer she directed the Hollywood Woman's Club Chorus and led a chorus of her own. She belonged to the La Canada Club Opera Reading Club of Hollywood and the University of Michigan Alumni Club. She is survived by daughter Mrs. Eglantine B. Pirie of Pasadena two sons Leslie H. Baier of Beverly Hills and Louis A. Baier of Ann Arbor Michigan a granddaughter Mrs. Phyllis P. Tuck and two great grandsons Stephen B. Tuck and Jeffrey P. Tuck.
San Marino police report W. L. LaFond of Vallejo 33 took more than 500 volumes and index cards from libraries including Monrovia during a tour of South ern California facilities. He admits burning 300 volumes before returning to Northern California and four of ten books from a local library have been recovered. Prosecution for burglary is planned.
San Marino High School will honor its Varsity football team Rio Hondo League champions and CIF Northern Division finalists at a Fall Sports Banquet Monday December 9. Chuck Taylor Stanford director of football and former 1941 All American guard will speak.
San Marino residents can reach Mt San Antonio College stadium for the final CIF football game between San Marino Titans and Pomona Catholic by taking San Gabriel to Valley, then left, continue east past La Puente, turn left after a neon Mt San Antonio sign, drive half a mile to the stadium. The trip is about 20 miles.
The window tours from December 9 run 8 30 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Saturday December 7 hours are 8 30 a.m. to 12 noon. The local office is closed Sunday. Pasadena Sunday service runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 8 and 15. Patrons urged to mail early as peak volume expected.
Funeral services were held for Donald S Hahn of Pasadena who died December 1. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth G Hahn a daughter Susan Martha Hahn a son William Grassie Hahn his mother Mrs Edwin F Hahn Sr two brothers Edwin F Hahn Jr and Stanley L Hahn and Mrs Cedric Scott of this city.
Police report a burglary at the home of Mr and Mrs Fred L Engen on Devonport road with entry through a window. A platinum setting ring and a zircon ring valued over 100 dollars were taken along with 15 dollars in cash. the items were discovered missing Monday.
Four San Marino scouts received Eagle Scout awards at the San Marino District Court of Honor held at Huntington School. Recipients include Stout, Leaf, and Asa Mudell of troops 351, 354, and 455, with Dick Smith from troop 455. Kiwanis Club President Ned Long and vice president Brad Millikan Jr presented the honors.
Campaign chairman J Gerald Ross reported on Monday that Marino contributions to the Community Chest reached 77 percent of the $49,880 goal. Collected to date amounting to $38,400 alongside the campaign effort remains short of the target.
Services for Jeanette Heim who died December 1 were conducted by J. Henry Hutchins in San Gabriel. The obituary notes final rites held Wednesday with a funeral in the San Gabriel area.
The San Marino Business and Professional Association will erect the Little White Church at the Huntington drive and San Marino avenue intersection this weekend. BPA president Jerry Bowman says merchants and residents will install the city’s Christmas decorations, featuring six large double-faced Della Robbia wreaths and twelve additional wreaths by the Boys Republic. The city faces a storm of citizen interest over tax hikes affecting city, school, and county budgets. The district plans $1,851,481 in expenditures this year with large rises in instruction, capital outlay, and recreation funds, plus $187,023 in undistributed reserves. Citizens question where the extra $475,000 goes and urge attendance at Board of Education meetings.
Mrs. Belle Brady died November 28 at her Canterbury road home. Private funeral services were held by Rev. Duane Woodfin with burial in Hollywood Memorial Park. A Texas native, she had lived here five years and is survived by daughter Mrs. Billie B. Neales and one grandson and two great grandchildren.

Four San Gabriel youths, all 16, admitted stealing hub caps from parked cars. They were surprised by Harold B. Hatfield of Alhambra Road, then chased and arrested by a police patrol. Juvenile officers are pressing action.
Grace L. Kamrath of Roanoke road died December 3. Private services were held yesterday. Born in Boulder Colorado she lived in the city 15 years. Survived by husband C Lloyd Kamrath two sisters Harriet Conway Huntington Park and Blanche Fort South Gate and one brother Fred Barber Walnut Park.
Ann McReynolds daughter of Mr and Mrs John O Mc Reynolds of Log Robles avenue posted two new records in National AAU compilations She led the 15 and 16 year age group in 100 yard backstroke and 110 backstroke ranking fourth in national 100 meter butterfly fifth in 200 meter individual medley second in 200 yard backstroke Also first in 100 yard backstroke for Skater Olympic competition Jr Olympics saw third in 100 yard butterfly and second in 200 meter individual medley
Directors and donor members of the San Marino Community Council will attend its annual meeting Monday evening at 7 :00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. A report on the Chest Campaign will be heard, noting it is progressing somewhat behind schedule.

Press reports two new residences approved in November, a 146000 dollar eight room home for Mr and Mrs E W Wherry on Chandler place and a 7000 dollar seven room contemporary design home for W Plume at 7 Lombardy place. Three swimming pools planned raise total November construction to 149193.13 dollars.
