Services Held For Surgeon Dr Benjamin F Davis in California
Final rites were held for Dr. Benjamin Franklin Davis a well known surgeon at the chapel of Turner Stevens and Eggleston South Pasadena. He died Sunday at his home 1641 Oak Knoll Avenue. He practiced in Pasadena since 1940 with offices in Pasadena and Alhambra and on staffs of Huntington Memorial St Luke and Alhambra Hospitals. He leaves wife Mari and four children Benjamin Jr John Sarah and William and four grandchildren. John and William are in military service. He graduated University of Wisconsin 1907 and earned a PhD in pathology and physiology at Chicago in 1907. He served in World War I Medical Corps and practiced in Duluth before coming to California. He was active in Pasadena and Alhambra civic life and held multiple professional affiliations including American California Los Angeles County Medical Associations Western Surgical Association American College of Surgeons and others. He was a Mason and elder of Calvary Presbyterian Church South Pasadena.

Retired Col. Frank Scott Long 35 of 1840 Warwick Road died Tuesday after a long illness. Services set for this morning at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Long served from 1899 in the 39th voluntary infantry, then as quartermaster in 1911 on the Corregidor barracks project. Survived by wife Edith and two granddaughters Mrs. Baker Conrad and Mrs. Louis Hansen. He lived in the area the past year after leaving active Army service in 1930.
