Middle Schoolers Invited to Spend Spring In Italy

Claudia Brown designs a private EF Educational Tours trip for twenty five seventh and eighth graders from Huntington Middle School to Florence Pisa Venice Assisi and Rome to enrich a history class. San Marino Motor Classic raises 230000 for charities

The third annual San Marino Motor Classic raised 230000 for Pasadena Humane Society and SPCA, the Petersen Automotive Museum, and the Rotary Club of San Marino. More than 240 classic cars attended the Design In Motion event, with Aaron Weiss praising the charities as the true winners.

San Marino weighs plans for low cost housing and second units

City officials study methods to add seventeen low or extremely low income housing units and comply with state rules under the General Plan Housing Element. Proposals include selling city land for mixed use developments at sites such as the San Marino Center and Stoneman School with retirement housing as a potential option. Residents have urged more affordable and senior housing while costs to upgrade Stoneman are estimated at 4 to 6 million dollars.

City Club to Host Candidate Forum For San Marino Board

The San Marino City Club will host a candidates forum featuring four contenders for three San Marino school board seats. The event runs September 26 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Huntington Middle School Kenneth F. White Auditorium with incumbents Joseph Chang Nam Jack Shelley Ryan and Phil Chan. Speakers will present opening and closing statements and attendees may ask questions before the November 5 election.

City Identifies San Marino Veterans Project Planned

San Marino city approves a citizen project to identify photograph and film all veterans.
