Westridge School Opens 83rd Year in Pasadena

Westridge School begins its 83rd academic year with a Sept 5 convocation in Hoffman Gymnasium. More than 420 students from the Pasadena area attend, including 30 girls from San Marino. The school serves grades 4-12 in three divisions and adds a circus arts curriculum in the middle school. Fran Norris Scoble leads as head of school with Dr Mary Fauvre and Charles Schroeter heading the lower/middle and upper schools respectively.

San Marino School Board introduces Gary McGuigan as Huntington Middle School principal at the Aug 27 meeting. Nicole Biles, winner of the 1996 97 Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship, departs San Marino for a 16 month International MBA at SDA Bocconi in Milan. School Board Names Gary McGuigan New Huntington Principal

San Marino Unified School District appoints Gary McGuigan as Huntington Middle School principal after an interview process. McGuigan, currently an assistant principal for La Casfiada High School 7 12 program, brings counseling discipline and curriculum supervision experience. He previously served as assistant principal in the China Unified School District. The board announced the selection at a regular meeting on August 27 following a closed session on August 20.
