San Marrino Council Opposes Asset Disclosure Bill
San Marrino City Council voted against Assembly Bill 825 requiring annual disclosure of investments by public officers. The measure, approved by the Senate, would trigger asset statements if investments exceed 10 000. The bill advances to Governor Reagan for signature. next years statements would note changes. Two burglaries then reported statewide total over 800 dollars.

Family Swim Slated For Labor Day in San Marino
San Marino residents are invited to a free family swim at the high school pool on Labor Day from 2 to 5 p.m. Towels provided, no locker service. Regular pool hours continue 2 to 5 p.m. through September 7, with the gym open 1 to 9 p.m. weekdays until school starts September 15. Carver and Stoneman playgrounds open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until school opening. Huntington playground closed for construction. All playgrounds closed on Labor Day.

Five in Custody for Auto Theft in San Marino Incident
Five persons were turned over to Los Angeles Police and charged with grand theft auto after San Marino officers spotted a crowded sports car ignoring a stop sign on Ridgeway Road. The stolen vehicle, taken from Janet Weber of Los Angeles, was halted and five occupants fled before being detained. Suspects are Charles A. Gonzales, Frankie A. Martinez, Paul Loeffel, Orlando Lunez, and Lawrence Wilson, all Los Angeles residents with ages ranging from 18 to 21.
