City to Start Street Improvement on California Street
San Marino will launch a street resurfacing program on several city streets in the coming fiscal year. Patrick B. Lang, the public works director, said the California Street project will begin this year and take about 90 days to finish.

San Marino homeowners will soon see estimates for 1975 76 property taxes as nine local taxing agencies set their rates. The city total last year was 13.86 dollars per 100 assessed value, with values up 42 percent after a mid year reassessment. San Marino city and San Marino Unified School District have not yet set their rates.

Metro Water District Sets New Property Tax Rate
The Metropolitan Water District board set a 13 cent tax rate per $100 of assessed value for 1975 76, one cent lower than the prior year. Without note redemption the proposed expenditures would total $192 15 million, down from 1974 75 by $14 655 million. Revenue from the rate expected at $51.3 million while water sales and bond funds cover the rest.

July Arrests Reported by San Marino Police
San Marino police arrested 28 individuals in July per Chief James W. Moore. Of those, 13 were juveniles and 15 adults. Property loss totaled 27722 dollars with 443 reported lost through July. The end of July offense total stood at 214, up from 192 last year.
