Fatal self-inflicted shooting ends Fred Getchell’s life
An 81 year old Frederick Getchell shot himself at the Campbell home after fears of stroke and dependence. Police found him behind the garage at 4 56 a m he died at Huntington Memorial Hospital after being transported by ambulance. His daughter Marie Campbell described long grief after his wife’s death and notes to Roy and Marie. Burial at Turner and Stevens in Alhambra followed by Friday funeral at 2 30 p m.
