Youthful burglars raid Mrs Dulin’s Oak Grove home

Cadet Moore Rescued After Ship Afire
Cadet Midshipman Albert Reed Moore Jr., 21, of 2330 Cumberland Road, escaped a torpedoed merchant ship fire in the Indian Ocean about 30 miles off Africa. Rescued by a British corvette, Moore serves in the U S Merchant Marine Naval Reserve. six minutes after the first torpedo another hit capsizing a lifeboat and one man was lost to an oil slick.
