San Marino Boy Scouts Return From Summer Camp
Thirty five boys from Troop 2 San Marino return Saturday from Camp Cherry Valley Catalina Island where the sixth and last session hosted over 550 scouts and leaders in June July and August. Joseph P Howe president of the San Gabriel Valley Council and Mrs Howe visited the camp this week. Carroll Holt scoutmaster welcomed the delegation and helped on the staff. John English assisted as scoutmaster with the returning group including Theodore Abbott Robert Brandt George Burge Warren Cleary Richard Compton Billy Cornell Allan Dickey Chas Dondro John Dondro Thor Hamlin Jr Jerry Jones Earl Lingle Roy Macfarlane Ned Mansfield and others.

Fresco Project at South Pasadena Junior High Continues
The exterior wall frescoes on the South Pasadena Junior High School Auditorium will be completed before the new school year. Millard Sheets and Jim Petrick started the work last January, funded by student body efforts and donations from Dr. Frederick A. Speik and local supporters including Mr. and Mrs. John H. Geier and others from Newport Beach and nearby communities.
