James Webster Discharged From Navy After 14 Months Service
James B. Webster of this city, a motor machinist's mate second class, has received his discharge after 14 months in the navy including 10 months at Manus and in the Philippine Islands. His Pacific tour included New Zealand and Australia. He was stationed at Great Lakes and played with the Great Lakes swing band. He passed the Eddy test for radar training and was slated for sea duty in June 1945. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Harvey B. Webster and plans to attend a California college this fall.
