San Marino Boy Scouts In Sierras
Eight members of Troop 1 San Marino spent four days hiking near Glacier lodge on Big Pine Creek in the Sierra Nevada about 40 miles north of Mt Whitney. The group traveled in two private cars from Pasadena early Friday morning, camped near 11 100 feet, and faced thin air at altitude during a six mile hike to upper Glacier lodge. The trip was led by Richard Loring, Walter Gresham, and Preston Hill with Philip Gresham as committee chairman.

July permits from 83 Pacific coast cities rose 66 percent year over year and climbed over June 1933. The Western monthly survey by H. R.
