Keck Foundation awards grants to Huntington Library and Caltech
The W M Keck Foundation distributed five Southern California grants totaling 1.3 million as part of a 6.7 million nationwide package. Huntington Library and Art Gallery received 350,000 for advisory and peer review research. Hoag Hospital 500,000 for radiosurgery equipment. Caltech 155,000 for research and electronic information exchange among regional universities.

The San Marino Public Library adds more than 50 titles across feature films, travelogues, documentaries, and children's videos including Bali travelogues and Shari Lewis. As of noon August 11 the San Marino Unified School District board race increased from four to seven candidates. Most recent filers are Pamela Petrevich Katherine Byrnes Householder and Kevin McDonnell joining Rosa Tao Zee Eugene Platz Majorie Marnie Dam and Bruce Rutherford the incumbent. Filing closes at 5 p.m. August 11.

Task Force Plans Pasadena Hearing on Illegal Immigration
