Final services for Mrs. Lillus P. Miller were held at the Little Stone Church of Turner in Alhambra with Dr. F G H Stevens officiating. Entombment followed at Mountain View Mausoleum. she was 91 and had been ill for years. She resided at 86 North Chester Avenue and is survived by a daughter Mrs. Donald White of South Pasadena and three sons Joseph G of the San Marino Police Force John R of Pasadena and Earle P of St Louis, plus six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

July building permits totaled 413537.87, far exceeding last year and 125000 higher than 1953. Five new residences valued above 207500, one office building at 25000, 36,065 for 27 home alterations, 18 miscellaneous permits totaling 102112.94, and plumbing and heating permits of 42759.93. In July 1953 eight new residences were issued. 1952 total was 214215 with five new homes.
