War Bond Drive Tops San Marino Total
San Marino residents boosted the county war bond drive with a San Marino total of 167 893 75 dollars toward the $125 000 quota for the cruiser U S S Los Angeles. In one month residents added 42 893 75 dollars to the city tally, according to War Savings Committee chair John A Barton. Monies were raised through a City Hall ceremony led by the Woman's Committee with a Victory Booth at Security First National Bank reporting 98 590 dollars for July. The booth will open Saturday mornings in August for rest.
