San Marino Scouts Earn Eagle Honors at Court of Honor
At a January 29, 2005 Boy Scout Court of Honor four scouts from Troops 358 and 351 in San Marino and Pasadena received the Eagle Scout rank. Clinton Yeow Jung, Justin Magsarili, Daniel Brimberry, and Jeffrey Kiralla earned Eagle, detailing their Cub Scout beginnings, leadership roles, merit badges, and Eagle Projects. all four plan future schooling at USC Loyola High School Pasadena Poly Maranatha High School and Stanford.

At the April meeting of San Marino Masonic Lodge 408, the annual Public Schools Observance was held with administrators, teachers, students, and parents in attendance. Jose Jurado-Cairo hosted the program. Julie Boucher expressed thanks for lodge support and for Carver School’s use of the dining hall during auditorium work. medallions were awarded to top students, and staff members of the year plus a 25-year service honoree were named.

Titan Stadium field project on schedule for 2005 season
Construction on the Titan Stadium athletic field and track is progressing on schedule with FieldTurf surface and Rekotran-S track. A Seattle Ohio Construction crew has completed trenching for drainage and electrical systems as 30,000 tons of dirt move. Budgeted at 2.5 million dollars, the project aims to host part of the 2005 season and may shift home and away dates. San Marino has set November 5 for Homecoming against La Cañada.

Memorial Fund Established for Former Resident Beckner
A memorial fund is set up for Mateo Beckner son of chef David Beckner of RK An American Brasserie Rye NY. David Beckner 44 died in a motorcycle crash near Fairfield CT on June 19 2005. Beckner trained at Cordon Bleu Paris and CIA Hyde Park and formerly pastry chef at Rebeccas Greenwich CT.
