Huntington school drama and English teacher Jim Korkis loves cartoons and comic books fueling his classroom approach. He built a 12 000 item collection and has written on Jack Hannah Bob Clampett and Mr Magoo while sharing interviews with animators and selling insights from Nostalgia Journal and The Comic Reader. San Marino School Board Reports Kinder Enrollment Up
At the San Marino Board of Education meeting Dr Kenneth Ogden announced April 2 pre registration shows up to 146 kindergarteners possible, with current 117 enrolled and 106 forecast. He urged community support for public schools as district plans for 1981 82 include maintaining three K 5 elementary schools, adding three classes to keep under 30 per room, and reviewing Stoneman school for potential closing after September. The San Marino Schools Foundation reported nearly $150,000 raised, including a $10,000 anonymous donation, funding a second year of campaign to attract major donors.
