Shu-Ching Chen, a SMHS freshman, won national runner-up honors in the Baldwin Keyboard Junior Competition after earlier top results in the J. S Bach International Junior Competition. Sponsored by MTNA and Baldwin Piano, the event drew regional winners from six states. Chen will perform as soloist with the Valley Chorale after the Alhambra High School concert May 8.
