School District Hosts Tours and Open House Saturday
San Marino Unified School District invites the community to tours of four newly built schools Carver Elementary Valentine Elementary Huntington Middle and San Marino High on Saturday April 28 2001 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Parking is available at each site as visitors can tour one or all campuses located on Huntington Drive between San Gabriel Blvd and Virginia Road.

City Would Cap Utility Tax Revenues If Rates Increase

AFS Seeks San Marino Hosts for 2000 2002 Year
Open the world to a foreign student by hosting through AFS. Students from over 50 countries aged 15 to 18 bring experience and English skills, and host families provide space and guidance. Families of all types can participate with a separate bed, moral support, and basic needs. Volunteers are on call 24 hours for emergencies. A $50 monthly tax deduction is available, and hosting requires no payment to the family.

The San Marino Public Library hosts You Give A Mouse a Cookie Baking Contest and Cookie Swap on Saturday April 28 from 2 to 3 PM. Laura Numeroff’s Mouse will appear. Junior bakers who collected recipe forms will bring cookies for judging on Friday. Judges award ribbons on Sunday and all entrants receive a cookie plate and booklet.
