City first responders save life with AED in San Marino
Last Saturday San Marino police officer Helen Aguilar resuscitated an unconscious man using an in-car AED after a 9 1 1 call. The device, funded by a 2001 City Council decision, combined with rapid CPR by Aguilar and Sgt. Les Rune led to a stable transport to hospital and a full recovery expected. Firefighter Paramedic Russell Wilcox trained officers in AED use, a program praised by Police Chief Art Farris and Fire Chief John Penido as essential for life saving.

Dispatcher’s Quick Action Foils Burglary Attempt
