Burglars Hit Prudential's Huntington Drive Offices

Burglars looted the Prudential California Realty offices at 2290 Huntington Drive between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, stealing laptops, a 17 inch monitor, a digital camera, cash, and supplies. Detective Sgt. Paula Byrd estimated losses at about $10,000 and saw no link to nearby Washington Mutual incidents. The break in spanned the first and second floors as cabinets and desks were ransacked.

Gays and Rose to Speak at City Club Dinner April 15

City Club shifts to San Marino High School for the April 15 dinner with tours at 5:30 p.m. and a 6:30 p.m. program in the foyer. Limited to 120 attendees. San Marino Ponders Stoneman as Recreation Center Site

San Marino officials consider leasing Stoneman School to the city for 180000 dollars per year to house Recreation headquarters and programs. Recreation Director Cindy Collins notes most services would move to Stoneman while the Teen Center remains at a library trailer. Concerns include logistics of a site over a mile from schools and the library.

Immigration Reform on GOP Agenda April 15th

Rick Oltman Western Field Director for FAIR will address the Republican Club of San Marino at their April luncheon on Tuesday April 15 at the Ritz Carlton Huntington Hotel. An 11 15 a m social precedes the 11 45 a m lunch program. Oltman has led immigration reform efforts since the early 1990s and ran Prop 187 in 1994.

Antonovich Honored for Youth Work and Iraq War Support

County supervisor Antonovich led a March 25 board vote backing President Bush and the troops in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Burke joined in a motion praising county employees serving abroad, while Antonovich touted stronger anti Saddam rhetoric and called for united leadership. FBI arresting San Marino woman on spying charges
