Pancake Breakfast for Charity By San Marino Firefighters
The San Marino Firefighters Association sets Sunday May 17 for their eighth annual pancake breakfast at Lacy Park from 7 am to noon. Fire departments from nearby cities will display demos, with hot air balloon rides and a Shakey Quakey House featuring Yogi Bear and Smokey Bear. Proceeds aid Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation and local groups. Tickets enter drawings for prizes. Contact Juan Robles at 300-0735 to donate time or services.

Matrisciana to Address GOP Women in Huntington

SMHS Speech Team Advances From State Qualifiers
SM High School speech team placed first in the small division at the SCDL state qualifier with top performers including Paul Chen Esther Huang and Steven Wu. Memorial service and celebration of Kenneth F White life held at Canyon Community Church in Lakehead California after his death at Mercy Medical Center Redding. White born July 28 1913 in Toronto grew up in Southern California pursued music while earning degrees in education and English at Occidental College and USC. He taught English in San Marino and led church choirs in Highland Park and Glendale and married Mery Korn in 1939 who served as accompanist for over five decades.
