Public art murals expand in San Clemente along Avenida Del Mar
San Clemente showcases eight tile murals in seating areas across the city as part of Landmarks on Del Wit. A new mural set, unveiled November 14, depicts the Ole Hanson Beach Club as it could have looked in 1928 and the Bartow home once perched above Trafalgar Canyon. The benches near 146 Del Mar host the seventh and eighth murals with potential to reach 14 if funding remains available.

City officials will reconstruct and repave Calle Frontera between Avenida Pico and Avenida Vista Hermosa without adding bicycle lanes. The council voted 3-1 to maintain current lane configuration while work on the I-5 Pico interchange proceeds, with bike lane reconsideration possible after project completion in about two to three years.
