Surfer Special Keeps Feeding La Siesta Fans Since 1985
Al bert Hernandez joined La Siesta in 1985 as the Surfer Special debuted at 1.99 with eggs rice and beans or potatoes and chips and salsa. The dish fueled dawn patrols and helped the San Clemente restaurant grow. Now all day at 5.25 the Surfer Special remains, while the family expanded from South Gate to San Clemente and added catering and a margarita bar.
